What an event. Around 5,000 motor bikes historic and modern parked in the streets of Calne. The whole world it seemed descended to have a look. Amazing organization by the Bike Meet Committee and Volunteers (they don’t get a penny for doing this !!!).
The Festival on Friday and Saturday evening was excellent and a great family attendance on the Saturday. The sunshine helped and it was a perfect event. At 6pm the litter was gone and the centre of Calne was clear. You just wouldn’t know that anything had gone on. Amazing!
The Committee again managed to raise enough money to pay for the vent and give the rest to Charity. Quite a number of Local Businesses contributed and a lot of local and non local visitors gave in support. It was interesting to note that the majority didn’t realize that a Committee of Volunteers organized it. You can get up to date info on the Bike Meet at www.calnebikemeet.com.
