As you walk round the town there is a lot to take in of the past history of this fine town.
Drive along the A4 eastbound for a few miles and you will come to Cherhill and the magnificent sight of a White horse cut into the hillside. You can take a walk up to the Horse and Monument and the walk also takes you off into a nature reserve.
People are now appreciating the prettiness of the Town centre and the now seven days a week facilities that are appearing (Bistros and Cafes). People have commented that it is really nice to come to somewhere that isn’t another Clone Town.
