SEPTEMBER LOCAL MARKET UPDATE

Now the Summer is over buyers are preparing for the last quarter of the year move.

An interesting summer with sales staying constant and still a lack of homes coming to the market. Early September saw an increase of homes but not enough choice for the large amount of buyers looking. This has lead to a lot of buyers waiting and hoping for their ideal home to launch.

Local Authority Searches have done their annual disappointment. Some cases have reported a wait of up to nine and a half weeks. Not good enough, and causing stress to both buyer and owner. Hopefully someone at Wiltshire Council has a plan, especially for those people who want to see Christmas in their new home.

This time of year is historically busy with buyers focused on moving before the festive season. A large amount of buyers with a home to sell are holding back in the belief that they can sell their home easily. Unfortunately this is adding to the lack of stock challenge.

People with homes to sell are out there- enough to satisfy the demand. Lets hope they take the next step.
