Out of the 35 second hand property sales agreed in Calne by the 30th January 2018, we arranged 17 of them! Buyers are out there but they need to be serviced properly.
Our nearest competitor arranged 5 whilst the other agents active in the area ranged from 3 to zero sales agreed.
There are over 30 agents presently marketing homes in the SN11 area, so the choice is wide and varied in the type and culture on offer.
Why are we succeeding?
Hard work and not waiting for opportunities to come to you have been the main ingredients. Filling our day with phone calls to prospective buyers and promoting all our stock. Then making sure we are around as much as possible when sales are likely to be done. The majority have been agreed over weekends and quite a few after 6:30pm on the week days.
Saturday and Sunday are prime sale days and we are the last to physically open on a Sunday.
February and early March will again see our annual ‘Home Show’. It is unique to us and another way of helping our owners to attract buyers.
We charge a commission for our service on a no sale no fee basis. We haven’t gone down the road of the mainly on-line only agents where they charge an up-front fee whatever the result.
