Steve’s View of 2014

[vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]A very eventful year for us at Butfield Breach the market kicked off in January with a bang and has been furious ever since. It seems clear that prices are on the high and demand for property in the Calne area is at the highest. The only thing slowing the market down is the lack of homes coming to the market.

As a business we have tried to prepare as best we can for the New Year to make life easier and us as a business more productive. The property portals are always changing and evolving to be more productive and one thing we noticed was our technology has become dated and not as efficient as it could be.

To combat this we have invested in a brand new server, desktops and estate agency software to allow us to take advantage of the new systems which Rightmove and Zoopla are offering. The biggest feature from Rightmove being live data feed. This is an exciting tool as it allows us to upload directly without having to wait overnight for property changes to be updated.

At the same time we have given our personal website a complete overhaul to try and make it more user friendly. We have also added our coming soon page which allows us to pre prepare and add properties due to come to the market before they arrive, as a result we have been selling homes before they have even hit the market. The key benefit of this is for an owner looking to move but struggling to find what they would like. We can use this tool to marry people together for local home swap opportunity.

Even though a lot of our sales do come from the property portals we still need to focus on the people who visit our branch and have given the office a complete redecoration to try and make it a warmer friendly place for people to come and see us. We like the new style and hope you like it too.

For the New Year our objective will be to try and use these new tools to the best without losing focus of what matters most to our buyers and sellers. This means we will continue to try and provide a quality service 7 days a week.
