The last two weeks of January 2015 followed a path that we have experienced in times past. Historically we always prepared for a blistering last 14 days of January and we were not disappointed this year.
15 SALES AGREED by month end and with another 3 SALES AGREED in the first three days February. The weekends have been quite exhausting with our Saturday and Sunday service having to be staff increased to cope with the home viewings.
Viewings were up 30% on expectation and the majority of this upsurge happened at the weekend. Sunday seemed to be when a lot of offers came in.
Homes coming to the market is the major difference to previous Januarys. Available stock levels in the market place seem to be around 50% down on around two years ago. Therefore homes at the right price are being snapped up very quickly.
February is showing consistent activity with the first full February weekend being booked up well in advance.
More homes need to come to the market to satisfy demand!
