Butfield Breach are hosting a fabulous event which in the past has been Exciting and Uplifting for everyone seriously wanting to buy or sell property.

Interesting July figures showing not as many properties coming to the market as this time last year. This is leading to a high demand for homes from waiting buyers. So we still had a great sales month!

Searches have elongated again. We’ve been assured that they are working on the problem but if you are in a transaction you must make your Solicitor/Licensed Conveyancer aware of the issue. It’s amazing how many don’t check especially out of the area.

We are coming across many transactions where a number of Solicitors have not ‘Geared Up’ for the change in market conditions. Therefore there are delays in getting paperwork out and in responding to questions etc.

This is adding weeks to a transaction because they can’t handle the work load.

The Calne Springs town team have managed to raise enough money for Bright Red Gazebos. They can accommodate up to eight stall holders. These are available to use by local people for events in the Town or Villages. They got their first outing at the July Saturday market and then were all used to support the Calne Bike Meet.

What an event. Around 5,000 motor bikes historic and modern parked in the streets of Calne. The whole world it seemed descended to have a look. Amazing organization by the Bike Meet Committee and Volunteers (they don’t get a penny for doing this !!!).

Watch out for The Summer Carnival, The Duck Race, Calne Fest, Calne Bike Meet, The Winter Festival, Bike & Hike, Spring Sing and Green Day. Next year there will be in addition and ongoing a Calne Sports Week and Weekend plus a Heritage Weekend to celebrate the History of Calne
